Vintage Purses
Are you tired of having the small old handbags as everyone else? Can you not seem to find anything you like in the shops these days? Or do you maybe dream of old Hollywood glamour or classic styles? Then vintage purses may be right for you. Vintage fashion is all the rage, thanks to an ever expanding network thrift shops selling vintage clothes. These thrift shops aren’t your grandmother’s thrift shops, though. They specialize in selling high end vintage merchandise; pieces that were high fashion, designer label gear in their day, which have been carefully maintained. The clothing in these thrift store, or second hand stores, are the latest in retro cool, and if you want to get in on this fashion trend (or if you’re not brave enough to go all the way retro, but want to add a splash of vintage cool to your wardrobe), then a vintage purse is just the piece you need to bring it all together. Vintage purses are also a great way to go when you want a unique bag you know that no one else in the room will have.
About Vintage Purses
There is no look that can be called “vintage purse style”. Purses from a variety of different time periods can all be called “vintage”, so it just depends on which style you like the best. You can find vintage beaded purses, vintage mesh purses, vintage black purses, vintage Lucite purses, vintage alligator purses – the list goes on and on. You can also find vintage purses from well known designers, such as vintage Bally purses, vintage Coach purses, and vintage Balenciaga purses.
Where To Get Vintage Purses
You can rummage through your local second hand store for vintage purses, which usually requires making frequent visits (you never know what someone is going to drop off!). Another way to get vintage purses is to look online at sites like eBay, where you will find people auctioning off their gently used bags.
Are They Expensive?
When it comes to vintage fashion, “used” doesn’t always mean “cheap.” In fact, some second hand fashion can be quite expensive, especially vintage designer ware. Finding good deals on vintage purses is a matter of shopping around and keeping an eye out for bargains. Of course, if you really want to save some money, you could go more “vintage inspired” then vintage and make your own purse. Look for vintage inspired purse frames and create your own new bag that looks vintage but saves you lost of cash.
